Founded in 1982. IMJ Group is headquartered in Osaka, Japan and has experienced organic growth with approx. 120 employees. Our philosophy is to make the best available solutions by importing and distributing state-of-the-art medical instruments/devices.
IMJ Group has a team of dynamic personnel throughout Japan with more than 200 local dealers covering the entire Japanese market. The nation is divided into 5 blocks and more than 50 sales representatives promote and sell products in partnership with our contracted local dealers.

At IMJ, we actively attend exhibitions and medical congresses from aboard in order for us to stay ahead and keep relationships with suppliers. Our partnership is one of our most important assets. We are committed to ongoing improvements of our products by providing important feedback and requirements from our customers in Japan. We have also made substantial investments in our quality and global operations with the standardization of products going through rigorous check in our distribution center in Okayama. I am honored and privileged to lead a company that has the people and products to help patients in Japan. Since 1982, Intermed Japan has been delivering the medical instruments/devices focusing on the fields of surgery and anesthesia/respiratory to the Japanese market as a distributor.
In 1991, JSS started to sell surgical instruments from the United States. Since then, JSS became widely known as the specialist in the provider of surgical instruments and services throughout Japan.
In 2006, Intermed Japan and JSS have restructured the companies as members of IMJ Group. Especially, Intermed Japan expanded to promote Patient Temperature Management System and Blom Tracheostomy Tube System with innovative technology. Also, a strategic decision was made to make JSS into a specialist of the open surgery and the endo surgery.
